There's No Place Like Homerville
Georgia Grown Trail

LANIER COUNTY, GA -

There's a new road sign promoting tourism at the Lanier-Berrien County line on highway 37.

Officials unveiled the latest "Georgia Grown Trail" marker Monday. The sign is designed to encourage people to take advantage of agricultural tourism opportunities in Berrien and Lanier Counties as well as throughout South Georgia.

"What these signs have done is mark that trail from Homerville to Fort Gaines," Jerry Connell, Georgia Grown Trail Association President. "And, [the signs] enable us to begin a program to identify those assets along the trail and getting the word out to the general public, especially those folks traveling from other parts of the country."

The state promotes about 40 potential stops on the 157 mile agri-tourism trail.
